Delete your Bible Roots account

You can permanently delete your Bible Roots account and associated data in the app or submit a deletion request from this page. These options apply to both the iOS and Android apps.

Delete your account in the app

Open Bible Roots and sign in to the account you want to delete.
Open Settings, then choose Manage account under Account & sync.
Select Delete account.
Review the deletion details, confirm your choice, and complete any requested sign-in verification.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Signing out or uninstalling Bible Roots does not delete your account.

Request deletion without the app

Email BrownDev LLC at admin@browndev.net from the email address associated with your Bible Roots account whenever possible. Use the subject line Bible Roots account deletion request.

Email a deletion request

We may ask you to verify that you own the account before processing the request. Never send us your password or a sign-in verification code.

Data that is deleted

Your Bible Roots authentication account, email address, display name, and linked sign-in methods.
Your synced reading history, tree progress, reading-plan status, bookmarks, reflections, and other synced preferences.
The most recently used app platform (Android or iOS) stored with your account.
Your membership, name, and individual progress from group challenges.
Your synced Bible Roots data from the device where you complete deletion in the app.

What happens to challenges you created

A challenge you created remains available to its other members. Your membership and personal progress are removed, and the challenge owner is shown as DeletedUser so members understand that the creator deleted their account.

Data outside Bible Roots

Deleting your Bible Roots account does not delete your separate Apple or Google account. Optional tip purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and transaction records they retain remain subject to their own policies. BrownDev LLC does not store your payment details.
